Job Description

Under supervision, the Research Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reporting college-wide and departmental level research studies. The research analyst will cooperate in the preparation of analytical reports and support the preparation of the College's reporting to state and federal agencies. The analyst will coordinate assessment efforts, write reports, and prepare and present study results and institutional data. The analyst assists in program reviews and completes data requests. The analyst will validate research work of others in the department and play an integral role in verifying the quality and accuracy of reports.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
1. Master's degree or higher with emphasis in mathematics, statistics, economics, or behavioral-social sciences.
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
3. Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques and knowledge of essential social research and planning methodologies.
4. Two (2) to five (5) years experience in social, institutional, and or educational research, including direct experience with statistical research methods, MIS, statistical software packages (namely SPSS, SAS and/or Excel).
 

Desired Qualifications:
1. Specialized training in institutional research and planning, preferably in higher education.
2. Specialized training in quality control, process improvement.
3. Familiarity with Oracle's PeopleSoft.
